Halfway to First Ever 22nd Annual World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade®, Entries Are Now Open for the 40 Available Slots

HOT SPRINGS NATIONAL PARK, Arkansas — Exactly six months before hip hop legend Flavor Flav fires the starter’s pistol, entries are now open for the 40 available slots in the First Ever 22nd Annual World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade®.

“Parade fans, it’s time to start planning your green outfits,” Visit Hot Springs Special Events Manager Alexis Hampo said. “The World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade® is exactly six months away, and we’re looking for floats and performances that are creative, fun and full of Irish spirit.”

“Because our parade route is only 98 feet long and we have 30,000 cheering fans having the time of their lives in our historic downtown district, we have to limit the number of entries to 40,” Hampo said. “And with Flavor Flav starting the 2024 parade, we’re going to have a super-excited bunch of folks on 98-foot-long Bridge Street.

“So let me urge anyone who wants to be a part of this worldwide phenomenon to get registered and reserve your slot for the Bash On Bridge Street. You can register at shorteststpats.com .”
“Flavor Flav is one of the most recognizable legends in entertainment, and in March he will bring his contagious energy to our big little parade,” Visit Hot Springs CEO Steve Arrison said Monday. “He’ll be the perfect person to fire the official starter’s pistol when our parade steps off.”

The World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade® annually attracts upwards of 30,000 fans to downtown Hot Springs where a zany array of floats, marching bands, Irish Elvis impersonators, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, wacky costumed groups and guest celebrities cover the 98-foot Bridge Street parade route on the World’s Shortest Street in Everyday Use.
